@billiesteele_fit When I started my weight loss journey in 2021 I had no idea what a calorie deficit was. I knew what starving myself felt like and I knew what b*nging felt like. I had no idea what healthy eating for fat loss felt like. I was determined to get it right this time & this is what I did- 1. Worked out my deficit by using an online calorie deficit calculator 2. Made sure that most of my calories came from good quality whole foods 3. Incorporated ALL macros (fat, carbs & protein) I sit at around 150g protein a day 4. If I ate outside of my deficit I didn’t lose my mind & quit altogether, I just accepted that this was going to happen & get back on the plan the next day 5. I had to cut down on alcohol. It was wrecking havoc with my weight loss 6. I included foods that I liked in my deficit so I was more likely to stick to it 7. I had to prepare to be hungry, to experience the discomfort of hunger. Not starving, not obsessing over food but hungry.
