Since being unveiled in 2013, over two million people have flown on one of the most recognisable aircraft in our skies. Mendoowoorrji, inspired by Paddy Bedford’s 2005 painting ‘Medicine Pocket’ and designed by Balarinji, was the fourth aircraft to join the Qantas Flying Art Series. As part of its mid-life maintenance, the Boeing 737-800 is being repainted in standard Qantas livery.
But, the name and story of this magnificent aircraft will live on. Adam Goodes, who was onboard for its first flight, reflects on its journey to date.
