In June 2014, Sean and Rikki McEvoy walked into a Goodwill outlet in Asheville, North Carolina and paid 58 cents for a beat-up black and gold West Point sweater. Months later watching a Vince Lombardi documentary, they realized wait, that's the same sweater. Turned out it was Lombardi's actual West Point sweater from when he coached at Army from 1949-1953 before the Giants and Packers. Name written on a tag inside. It had been donated by the widow of Bill Wannamaker, who coached with him at West Point in the 1940s. Authenticated and sold at Heritage Auctions Sports Platinum Night in New York in Feb 2015 for $43,020 From 58 cents to $43k. The ultimate Goodwill jackpot.
